#068 Ashtanga Flow Yoga in English

Under the guidance of Lisbeth, we do the sun solutation A and B of Astanga Yoga. We go through the standing series I movements alternately by using yoga bricks. Lisbeth points out that movements can always be made without the props as well. After the standing series, we do variation of Supta-padangusthasana with the help of a yoga belt. At the end of the exercise, Lisbeth guides you to relax.
With this video Lisbeth Taivasmaa tutors Dynamic Ashtanga Yoga series in English. Lisbeth has cervical and lumbar wear, so she applies the traditional Ashtanga Yoga according to the lineage of K. Pattabhi Jois while listening to her body.
Lisbeth began her yoga path with Astanga Yoga in 2000 while studying theater, dance and circus arts in Turku. The form of yoga was challenging and intense enough for a young artist. She fell in love with the method and the positive impact it brought on the body and mind. This class involves synchronizing the breath with a progressive series of postures—a process producing intense internal heat, purifying sweat that detoxifies muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body, and a calm mind.
